Hong Kong: King Ludwig

Although a bit late for Oktoberfest, I had a bit of a craving for sauerkraut and sausages. My father was from Alsace and used to make a pretty mean classic Alsatian dish which is "choucroute garnie" (sauerkraut with all the fixings). We therefore went out and tried what Hong Kong had to offer in that department.

King Ludwig in Tsim Sha Tsui turned-out to be pretty good; sausages and sauerkraut were fine. Although the portion of sauerkraut that came with the sausages was minuscule and we had to order some more as a side.

Service was so-so with the waiting staff overloaded with work. Disappointing note on the black-forest cake: if it doesn't have kirsch and a large amount of real black cherries, it ain't the real thing!

Soup. Very salty.

Sausages and sauerkraut, tasted as good is it looks. Good variety. 2 or 3 can share.
Black forest cake. Not terrible but not German enough!
